It was a pleasure to have some of the industries greatest HR/Aquisition minds join us for our latest breakfast event. Thank you also to our guest speaker Elias Dib(Ex Aon Hewitt Partner) who took the time out to discuss some important issues that are affecting all of us.

We enjoyed the discussion around the following topics:

• How HR can influence leadership. How we can manage upwards as well as ask the right questions to our Leaders to get effective results.
• The impact of digital innovation on the role of HR practitioners as well as our organisations overall. Are these apps, websites and systems bringing us together or are they compartmentalising everyone’s role.
• Millennial’s – are they really that different to previous Generations (baby boomers, gen X) or is it because Millennial’s are more inclined to the “cult of the Entrepreneur” and have different idols. This led to an interesting discussion on how technology has created this generation gap, can baby boomers, generation X keep up?
• TA leaders in the group mentioned their methods of Recruitment and why it may differ from traditional talent acquisition.
• The group discussed changes in their current organisation, any disruptions and how their roles have been impacted. We also touched on individual successes.
• We ended the morning with Elias shedding some valid points on the impact HR has on company culture.
